1. General Terms & Definitions

2. Account & User

You (referred to as "You," "User," "Customer") means a natural person who is a U.S. resident aged 18 or older at the time of accessing and using our Services.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Unauthorized activity must be reported to us immediately at [email protected].

Impersonation, fraud, or misrepresentation will result in permanent suspension. Sqoot Cash reserves the right to pursue civil or criminal action and report fraudulent activity to relevant authorities.

3. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

Ownership attestation: By submitting items to Sqoot Cash, you attest that you are the sole legal owner of all Goods and have full authority to sell or submit them. We rely on this attestation and cannot be held responsible in the event of competing ownership claims.

4. Shipping & Insurance

Packaging

You must use the packaging materials provided by Sqoot Cash (prepaid FedEx envelope and tamper-evident security bag). Using unapproved packaging may disqualify your shipment from insurance coverage.

Drop-Off Requirement

To qualify for insurance coverage, all packages must be physically handed to a FedEx employee at a staffed FedEx location (FedEx Office, FedEx Ship Center, or authorized retail partner). Packages dropped in unstaffed drop boxes or self-service kiosks do not qualify for insurance coverage. Retain your printed drop-off receipt.

Insurance Coverage

Up to $100,000 in insurance is available per qualified shipment at no cost to you. Claims for loss or damage must be filed per FedEx carrier policies. To qualify, either provide photos of items next to your FedEx envelope before shipping, or obtain written approval from Sqoot Cash by submitting a description of your items prior to shipment.

Carrier

All shipments to Sqoot Cash must use the prepaid FedEx label provided. Items shipped via other carriers or using unapproved labels may not qualify for insurance coverage.

5. Receipt & Inspection of Goods

6. Pricing & Offers

How Offers Are Calculated

Formula: Payout = Live Spot Price × Weight (oz troy) × Purity (%) × Payout Rate

Payout rates range from 75–80% of spot depending on lot size and metal type. Initial estimates shown on our website are non-binding. The Final Offer is the binding offer issued after physical assessment and supersedes any previous estimate.

Response Time

Final Offers must be accepted or rejected within 48 hours of issuance. Offers not responded to within this period may be withdrawn.

No Negotiation

Final Offers are non-negotiable. We provide our best offer upfront, based on transparent calculation. If you decline, your items will be returned at no cost.

7. Jewelry Repair Services

Sqoot Cash offers jewelry repair services via mail-in only. By submitting items for repair, you agree to the following additional terms:

8. Returns

9. Payouts

10. Ownership & Verification

You confirm legal ownership of all Goods submitted. In the event of an ownership dispute, Sqoot Cash reserves the right to withhold payout until rightful ownership is determined. You may be required to provide legal proof of ownership.

Identity verification is required for transactions exceeding $600. Sqoot Cash complies with all applicable Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), FinCEN, and IRS reporting requirements, including filing IRS Form 8300 for qualifying cash transactions.

11. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our Services for:

12. Legal & Liability

Liability Cap

Our sole and entire maximum liability, for any reason, shall be limited to the lesser of (i) $5,000 USD per transaction; or (ii) one-third (1/3) of the applicable Final Offer. Liability is further limited to the insured value of the shipment, with a maximum of $100,000, where all insurance qualification procedures have been followed.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sqoot Cash, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your attestation of ownership, or your use of our Services.
